Good for you! I wonder.........Do they still make the Alaskan Loader? My dad had one, and it was soooo slick. It had a frame that bolted to the bottom of the camper, and he could just turn a crank and load the camper. Think I'll go and have a look see.........
Tiny, how does that thing ride with the boat on the back?
Pat, it's pretty top heavy. I've got Firestone bags on the rear end but it sways back and forth a bit. It took me several trips to get used to the sway. It's freaky if you stick your hand out the window and put it on the overhead. You know how the bed is sort of independent from the cab, it really accentuates the difference with the camper. The truck is bouncing one way and the camper is moving another. Weird! It weighs about 3500 lbs. I would like to put a Hellwig rear sway bar on but just haven't ponied up the cash yet.
Tiny, I wondered about that. We thought about getting a slide in like yours, and keeping our boat. But, I think we're going to go ahead and sell the boat, and get a fifth wheel. How big is your boat?
