That's one of the reasons we picked this house to buy and remodel. Our living room, bedroom and my office all face due South. When the sun rises in the morning it FLOODS my office with sunshine, and I can feel the change in my mood. I have a "sun" box for the few times the sun isn't shining. Makes a HUGE difference to my PTSD......

I like Fords - that's why I have two for the two vehicles I drive and I'm about to have 3.
I do have my gripes though. What's the deal with the engineer who does the climate control? You only get A/C blowing out the dash or on the window. Over here in the rain forest we like A/C to dry out the interior, but I get tired of it blowing in my face. Would it really be that hard to give us a separate button?

Morning Everyone, good to hear your on the mend Pat. Snow in the ofrcast for here on Wednesday through Friday, we'll see if that happens.
I pulled the plugs on Rattle (62 4x4) and did a compression check yesterday. Here are the results:
#1 120
#2 110
#3 118
#4 112
#5 120
#6 125
15 psi differential, manual says 5 PSI, but I have always gone with 15PSI max diff, what do you guys think, and the plugs were clean no oil on them. Going to pull the valve cover and adjust up the valve lash today if weather permits.

yeah thats what I was thinking Don. I need to pull the intake and exhaust manifold off. The heat riser valve is stuck and pin sheared on the weight side. Found the forward freeze plug leaking and the one under the center of the manifolds has got some weird looking plug system. Most likely to fix a leak without pulling the manifold.
Projects for later, replace the leaking engine side cover gasket and do a clutch kit on it.
That engine starts right up after going through the carb and idles perfect, it does have a miss at idle but not at high end.

Pat, I'm glad to hear that you are doing well.
What a crazy day here at work. I'm super busy. I almost had to put one of my co-workers in their place first thing. Some people just don't know how to let others do their job and worry about their own stuff.

Evening guys, spent part of the day working on the 62 4x4. Pulled the, rocker cover off and adjusted the,valve lash. she sounds a lot more quiet. Took my mechanics stethiscope and listen around the engine block area was quiet, the only area was the Delco alternator. Someone switched out the geneator before I bought it.
