I have a 2011 F250 6.2 (gas) Right now it has 3.73's. Ill admit, I know very little about changing of gears, but with my upcoming 37's, I am hearing it may be good to go up to like 4.10 or so.
I just want a decent ride quality, and help out on the decreased MPG the 37's will bring.
Can you guys give me some tips? or atleast point me in the right direction?
2011 Ford F250

37" Toyo MT
6" Pure Performance lift
Not a great deal of towing or hauling, but on occasion.
80% local traffic, 20% highways.
I re-geared my 99 V10 from 3.73 to 4.10 and it was spendy with re-gearing the front and rear diffs plus adding an ARB locker to the front in total between $2-3k 10 years ago. I would suggest running the 37's with 3.73s for a bit and see if the truck holds top gear while cruising. The 6 speed in the new trucks should be ok for acceleration. The difference btwn 3.73 and 4.10 is not much. Maybe do 4.30's?
