hey, i have an f250 cc 4x4 v10 with a 4" suspension lift and 35's, with 3.73 gears. i was wondering what yall think about switching to 4.10 gears. would it help for the money? or is it ok with 3.73's. thanks in advance.
For what it's worth, I run 4.10s with street tires - 285/60R18 and I love it. I think the outside diameter of these tires is around 31 inches.
You may be better off with 4.56 gears.
As a few folks above note, it's not really worth it for the incremental jump to 4.10s if you have 3.73s. It's only like a 10% difference. Going to 4.56 will give you a 20% gear reduction which will be a noticeable improvement.
