Removing fender badges

Has anyone de-badged their Excursion? Just wondering if the "excursion" badges on the front fenders are put on with double back tape? Or if I remove them will there be holes in the fenders?

I know the rear tailgate Excursion badge leaves two holes in your gate if you remove it.

I plan on pulling mine, waxing the area and then putting it back on with thinner 3m tape

i would refrain from waxing the area .. i would clean the area really well .. last thing you want to do is put up a barrier between the clearcoatted paint and the 3m tape .. it will just come off easyer if you do

An yes there are holes under the X emblems. I think they offered some type of turn signal in the fender when sold overseas. the holes are punched with a flare in it.
