Hi,
i have a 2001 f150 and when i go around 55 mph it starts to jerk/shake. and sometimes it randomly idles high like the rpm will go up a bit and go down. I also noticed the exhaust manifolds leak sometimes and i dont know if thats what is making it shake. from what i was told it could be the coil packs, spark plugs, or fuel filter but my check engine light is not on! PLEASE HELP!
thank you,
nate
Sounds like the standard COP failure, weak ones will not throw a code, also sounds like you have a dirty IAC or faulty one, fuel filter and plugs is always a good idea to change motorcraft only is what I recommend
alright thank you! i put on a cold air intake a few months ago do you think this would mess with it?
Cold air intakes are a touchy subject on here lol
Lot of fors and againts
Do a search on this forum for them you'll have lots of info to decide
for yourself
