Hi all. Noob here. I am in Ontario Canada and am wondering where I can get a cat converter for my 1995 F 250 2wd 460. The truck failed the emissions test and I am sure that is the problem. Thanks in advance for the help
Why are you 'sure that's the problem'? What have you tested or done to check? A catalytic converter does not just go bad. There is a reason it went bad. Either a missing smog pump, or not properly maintaining the vehicle. How old are the plugs/wires/cap/rotor/coil? How many miles on the truck? How old is the O2 sensor? Have you checked for codes? A sticky EGR valve can cause you to fail. What were your numbers on your test?
I have had the truck in storage for 2 yrs so i cant remember what the numbers were. Everything else is new and the egr is functioning normally and there are no codes. I am a technician and did all the checks 2 yrs ago when it failed. I replaced all the other stuff before and it still failed. My problem was the cheapest converter i found was $800 here in Canada.

I had a lot of problems with my 95 F250 XLT 460Cid. I replaced the Cat and it did some good but I needed to replace the ignition control module I did that after I replaced the Cat Convertor I would say try that first. A lot cheaper than a Cat. Convertor.
Check out your local hot rod parts/auto dressup store or auto parts store, I have purchased various Magnaflow cats from those type places here in Ottawa for example.
