i was just wondering if there is a fuse for ur block heater or not i looked in the owners manual and couldn't find it. but maybe i over looked it. i plugged my truck in and left it plugged in over night and on my edge chip when i went to start it the oil temp was at 20F and if i have it plugged with the block heater working, it is usally at 80F to 100F. hopefully there is a fuse for it not having to replace the whole block heater. any help would be great thanks
As far as I know, the only fuse is the circuit you are plugged in the house. The heater block cord is direct to the block heater. You might check where the block heater and cord are connected, make sure it has not vibrated back off or retighten the connection at the block heater, but I am with Senix, check to make sure your extension cord is plugged and that circuit is not tripped.
my extension cord has one of those tattle tale lights on it, and the light was on, i tried to follow the cord but lost it where exactly is the prong in the block heater
Block heater is nestled nicely directly above the starter, patience is required for taking the cord off, oh yea, small hands are a plus.
I havent looked on my truck to see if it has a heater on it. Do all these trucks come eqiupped with heaters? Anyone have the cord coming out by the grill on these?

They all have the heater, many did not come with the cord, like mine. Originally bought on the south, no need for a block heater, so no cord.
Block heater is just an electric element similar to a toaster. Direct electrical current runs through it and generates heat. If its not working its either a power issue or the element is fried. Use a multi meter to check continuity through the plug on the truck. Ill check tonight to see what range you should be getting.
