No. But either way, the gearing is probably too low for today's highways anyway.

Your right about that. i dont have my tact working yet but you can tell it tacts up pretty fast.

I don't know what your plan for brake mods are, but if you can, get the power brake booster/master cyl and pedal assembly.
Not the antilock stuff, just whats on the firewall.
maybe you already got that figured out. but typing is cheap and easy.

I used a 1995 explorer rear end. I went to Orscheln's and bought spring perches for around $8.00. Just got a drive line made for $71.00.

If its a Dana 44 it's strong enough. That's been a popular axle with the fwd guys for years.

If i,m looking at the code correctly looks like the explore rear end is 4.11. Dont think if i,m going to the trouble to change out rear end i will go with something about the same as i got. And as far as disc brakes on the back, guess its kind of a plus but not that big of a deal after i get disc on the front. Thanks for the pictures. This info is going to help me alot. Has anyone used the motor mounts for a SBC that attache to the frame and do away with the cross member?
