I like your 53. The 55 Chevy ain't bad either. Tell us about the paint on the 53. That's the look I'm wanting for my 56. I've painted some parts with tractor paint from Tractor Supply and got similar results by "scotchbrighting" between coats and the last coat. Let's hear from you.Where are you located? I guess I'm being summoned, so Howdy all.
Mike here and I'm located in N/W Connecticut.
The patina on the truck is good old fashioned weathering. I picked the truck up a couple months back. It's an older restoration that has darkside DNA inserted into it. Camaro front clip, 350 sbc, 200R trans, 9" rear end.
It has a `62 front bumper on it which suprisingly looks half way decent on the truck.

Still sorting out some of the cheese-ball stuff the PO did, but she's a real nice solid truck.



The Bel Air was my HS Autoshop teacher's car and he was the original owner. He turned it into a drag car in `56 so she's seen little road use.
It has a 454 SBC, Th400 trans, `57 old rear end (9.3").
