my dad has a 65 f100 that needs new body components and he found a 66 f100 that was parked in the early 90s just down the road, with a 352 and manual trans. engine and trans aren't going in his 65 but i might use them for my possible 77 highboy mud truck. will the 65 and 66 cabs, fenders, and all other body parts interchange? what manual trans where offered with floor shifters wit the 352 in 66 also? if they had a granny id love to have that in my truck over my 400 with a granny. thanks-caleb
All body parts interchange between the '65 and '66 Ford truck models. There are some differences between the '65 and '66 radiator core supports, but everything will interchange with no problems.
The factory 4-speed transmission with "granny low" is the New Process model 435, aka NP435. I have an NP435 in my daily driver '66 Ford F100 and it is fun to drive. I am not a fan of the three-on-the-tree manual tranny.
Ok that's what I needed to know about the body. Was the np435 the only manual offered that year(66) except for the 3spd manual? was the 3spd only offered on the column?

Of course Numberdummy could tell you for sure but all I've ever seen in them is the three on the tree or 435 4 by the knee. There is also the cruise-O- matic but I doubt you'd want that.
I'm interested in the tranny so much because if I got it it would be going in my highboy along with the not ran since 1990 352. I'm a big FE fan, and I don't like the 400/351M engines(such as in my truck) but if it runs I can't complain. My grandpa also knows everything about FE engines and has 14 390s from 67/68 mustangs so I know I could buy parts off of him and build a good engine outta that 352.

New Process 435 introduced in 1965 F100/350's, was used with both 2WD & 4WD (reverse is down, towards the seat).
Warner T-18 also introduced in 1965 F100/350's, used with 2WD only (reverse is up-towards the dash).
3 speed manual: Ford type 3.03 all sycromesh standard equipment in F100/250's. Warner H/D T-87 optional in F250's, standard equipment in F350's.
F100's were available with optional Warner T-85N 3 speed overdrive.
