Either you would have to cut a 14x14 square in the roof or figure out how to duct the air from the second one.... I would bet that if some one was half way handy they could get cut offs that you could tie into the factory ducting underneath the X where the rear AC unit is. You would just have to make sure it was sealed really well or you would be breathing in exhaust when it is running.

this is exactly what I was thinking. I would just make a window filler and roll the windo up tight to it, no reason to cut holes in the roof or floor. Unfortunately they show it out of stock. I will watch out to try to find one of these.
found this too, not sure if it has enough capacity, I will need to do some calculations, but the price is right!

The problem then is that one is more likely to be cold in the middle of the night, but that can be partially mitigated with breathable and/or layering sleeping gear.

, so companies have had to design and sell roof mounted coolers that can run off of the batteries without taking out too much charge, and still keep the cab cool - I think most use the water type systems, and can be 12 or 24 volt. Here's one, but not much detail on it

not a chance, the difference is the humidity I think. Ive tried it twice and even on a night that got cool the humidity and heat drove me out. I think Arizona and Cali would be much better, but Im talking about kentucky or tennessee. Its never worked for me, even stopping and sleeping in the driver seat is not possible in the summer without AC

with this cooler If I could use 6 ballons of frozen water it would be
1200 btu/gallon for transition from ice to water = 7200
from 32 to 60 degrees is 28 dgrees of usable cooling
28degrees x 6gallons x 8.34lbspergallon = 1373 BTU
total energy is 6 gallons ice raised to 60 water is 8573 BTU
over 6 hours its 1425 BTU/hr I dont think this is going to work, even at 100% efficiency and assuming my gallons are still ice when I go to sleep its not enough
