I have AC with manual assist aka 55mph assist.

But pretty much most have the small round non piston type found in most ford cars and trucks.

The Yorks are awsome to make into on board air

My truck has a/c, but it doens't work. The vent windows work great though. I want to replace the compressor/condensor to make the a/c running again, but I have no clue what brands to get or how much it will cost.

same here york is nice but its on its last days (when i do use it) big noisy models that in my opinion required more power then any other compressor.

A/C? Hmmm! I've heard of it.

I understand it's pretty useful, especially on hot days.

I wouldn't know.

I've got two floor vents, two wing windows, two side windows and a rear sliding window; and a plastic spray bottle filled with water.

"A/C? I DON'T NEED NO STINKIN A/C" (of course, I wouldn't mind having it)

hehehe me and sierra have 360* air conditioning-window vents (front), windows (side), and back back sliding window (behind)! you get air from 360*. I have ac, but it doesnt work, and i dont feel like fixing it, so I use the free 'windconditioning'

Who needs A/C? Just open your windows and drive. Vent windows are great though. I have A/C,and IT WORKS but I never use it. Only on dates does it get use.....And thats if she wants it.....

Heh i have the best of both worlds on my 83 F250 . I have the vents from non A/C if i want them and Add-on air. I can't recall the name of the compressor right now, but its still running on R12 and is as cold as ice, but it isn't york, and it isn't factory. If i think aobu tit i will get the name off of it tommorrow. It's not on my 300, i have no A/C on it, but im sure people use the same setup.

Right now, 2+2+2/65, 2 Windows+2 Wind Wings+2 Vents @ 65mph.
Haven't been able to put A/C in yet, I'll have to cheque what compressor (maybe york) I've in my possession for the "Wee Beastie".

When I put together an AC from assorted parts for my '87, I found a Sandeen in a local junkyard that fit. I've used it for four years with "Envirosafe." It does a great job.
