Ditto! Stick around anyway. There's more trucks out there when the time gets right again. And show us pics of your garage when you can.

Good luck with the job and the garage. Sorry you have to let Lucille go, a beauty! Maybe when times get better you will have another.

Hey Wally,
So..... Once you get that great new Garage you are telling us
you aren't going to put anything in it. Well that doesn't sound like you.
Stick around & take your time & pick up a fun project when things look better.

Merry Christmas Wally!!

As the others have said, just because you don't have a truck doesn't mean you have to leave. You're a valuable part of out crazy community.

Who knows, when things settle down for you another project might present itself and you'll be right back in the thick of it.

Take care my good man
Bobby

This sort of sounds like that Christmas story/dilemma where a man sold his gold pocket watch to buy his wife a comb and the wife sold here hair to buy him a pocket watch chain (or something like that). You sold your truck and now you can finish your garage but now you have no truck to park in that garage....

Someday a ford truck will follow you home to live in that garage!
That's actually a pretty good analogy. I only have (I guess now it's had) a single car garage so I would keep Lucille in my Moms garage all week (she lives about ten miles away, but close to my work), then drive her home on Friday after work. If it looked like it was going to rain, I would just leave her there. If I did drive her home I would have to wash her, then drive her over the weekend. Sunday night I would take her home and I'd wait until the weekend again. It was pretty inconvenient so I decided that if I built a garage on my property, i could keep all my tools in the new garage and Lucille would have the single car garage to herself. If it rained, I'd just put her in the garage at home... perfect. Well the price to build that garage just kept growing and by the time it was built I only had about two thousand dollars left in my savings account. I rebuilt a couple of motorcycles to sell but I was still coming up short so your analogy is pretty accurate. In order to keep the truck and enjoy it, I needed the garage but the cost of building the garage was too expensive so I had to sell her... irony. I'll get another one, just give me a few years to build back up.

Something Stu told me a long time ago:

"You don't have to own a Ford truck to still be a Ford truck enthusiast."

Meaning, go ahead and share laughs, past experiences, what you've seen at local car shows, etc....

Heck, I haven't touched my truck in over a year....not that I'm happy with that, but it doesn't mean I have to go away.
