AE Question

Does anyone know if the basic AE needs a special package to read codes on an 08 Toy 4 Runner? All of a sudden my gas mileage has dropped 4-5 MPG. I have the Ford package for my '01 250 but I'm sure that it won't do any good with the Toy.

The basic package will not read advanced (manufacturer specific) codes. It will read the basic codes that any OBDII reader can.
The basic codes may help diagnostics, but manufacturer specific codes will help much more.

I am in NE CAL, little "town" of Hat Creek. Town by virtue of a post office. Nothing else here but a few homes and ranches

Thanks for the offer 1fixitman. I feel pretty sheepish right now, realized I had not cleaned the air filter in quite a while. ( Yes K&N but really dirty outside & really clean on the clean side ). The lie-O-meter is is reading what it used to so I think I may be back to normal when I fill up again.
