old reader/ new poster

I've been reading and getting tips, answers, direction, ideas and instructions from this site for 10 years. I'd just like to thank all the posters and tech writers as this info was my guide to my build.
I built a 54 m100 over the last 7 yrs (slow but sure), my 1st build. I'll attempt to post some pics. How do I go about posting pics ???

Thanks DAN

Pictures we love pictures.
First, congrats on your build. I'm moving even slower than you did, but mine was idle for several years, so I'm not sure that counts.

Others have better descriptions on adding pictures and I'm sure they will come along shortly (We love pictures). But here is my readers digest version.
Get your pictures online, I use photobucket.
Once uploaded, copy the image URL.
In your post, click on the insert image icon (It looks like a mountain scene)
Paste that URL in the box that pops up.
Submit the post and you are done.
You can post several pictures in one post. Photobucket does a nice job of explaining how to upload pictures.

Good luck and get to work on posting those pictures.

Welcome to the board!

I hope you get the pic thing straightened out. I'd like to see your truck.
A lot of first time users to this site usually find it easier to put all of their pictures in a picture hosting site; photobucket, flikr, etc. Then its fairly simple to paste them into a thread.

Good luck
Bobby

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).

Go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and sign up for a free account. Then create an album for your truck. Upload any pics you want to post on FTE to that album. Have this album open on your computer when you want to post pics on FTE.

While you're making a post on FTE, select the pic you want to post from your Photobucket album. When the large version of the pic is open, right mouse click on it and select "View Image Info". The image info will be highlighted and will look something like this:
The best photos and videos | Photobucket

Copy that highlighted info (right click / copy).

When you have the spot in your post where you want the pic to be placed, select the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the post (looks like a mountain) and paste (right click / paste) the image info you copied in the highlighted box (just shows "http://" when it opens).

Your pic will be placed in the post.

Hope that helps.
