My '56 had a spotlight on it , actually with it, when I bought the truck a few years ago.I had put the light away and stuck duct tape over the hole. Today I dug the light out and installed it . I think it looks better than the tape did.
It is a Fomoco light. I didn't connect the wire to see if it burns.I will have to remember to swivel it around backwards, 180 degrees from the position in the second photo, before opening the hood.A reverse tilt hood is in my plans for the near future, so that won't be a problem then.
