Installed my auto enginuity and retrieved codes. P1000 P1832 U1262
Can anyone tell me what they mean and how to repair them?
I'm going to assume your using the Ford enhanced AE when your diagnosing your truck? With that said, the P1000 is a standard code that is thrown pretty much every time you pull codes. I treat it as an echo that you've got good communication with the PCM.
P1832 - Pressure Control (PC)/Shift Lock Solenoid Control Circuit High Voltage
U1262 - SCP (J1850) Communication Bus Fault
Can't say I've seen that U1262 before, but it's a chassis code, not directly related to the engine. What are you trying to diagnose? I've been using my AE for a couple of years, by no means an expert, but I can help you out to the best of my abilities if you've got some specific question. I'm not aware of a diagnostic tree/flow chart when working with AE.
thanks for replying i should have mentioned that it is the ford bundle from AE. so from what your telling me is the p1000 cod is nothing to worry about. on the p 1832 code i didn't see anything about it being a (pressure control) for shift lock solenoid ,in fact this is what i found
P1832 Transfer Case Differential Lock-Up Solenoid Circuit Failure
in the link from the above post. Last week while driving i found my 4x4 switch turned on but there was no light ... i will guess that means my 4x4 will not work?
as for for the u1262 code ill keep digging to find something on this code
the reason i asked about the T/S tree or flow chart is i work for a truck dealership and i can go on line to the engine manufacture type in the code and print a tree out

I've never worried about a P1000 code, and most of the time the codes that bounce back may not be an actual current code. The PCM will hold a stored code for a period of cycles before it deletes 'em. With that said, say you got contribution/balance code for an injector. Don't automatically assuming you've got an injector going. The crazy thing could have misfired once...the PCM picked it up and stored the code. The injector could be fine. That's why I tell guys that if you've got a code...clear it and see if it comes right back via a KOEO/KOER test before you assume the code is legit.

It could be a clogged vacuum tube. You'll have to forgive me, I'm not a 4WD drive guy...but I believe the code is a solenoid in the transfer case that could keep your 4WD from engaging. Sorry I couldn't be of much help on that one.

Yeah, we're not that special around here. We consider our self lucky that we have something like AE to do our own work instead of having to take 'em to the dealership every time a CEL pops up. Yes, IDS is the top of the line...but the shop rates aren't exactly friendly for those of us without really deep pockets.
