03 6.0 sensor issues!?!

I have just recently replaced my 03 6.0 motor with a 04 motor and i am in the process of putting everything back together and i noticed that the icp sensor on my 03 motor was behind the turbo and the 04 was on the left side vavle cover.. since my wiring was set up for the 03 i just put the old sensor onto the new motor.is that fine or is it going to cause a problem??

BTW it is the right side valve cover - always defined by sitting in the drivers seat facing forward.

You should be fine with that sensor.

What you do unwrap the Harness and Reroute the wires for ICP????

the sensor itself is Fine

no i might have worded it wrong.. basically the old motor had that sensor behind the turbo and that was whats the wiring harness was set up for and the new motor just had a plug in that part of the motor so i just took the old sensor out and put it in the new motor.. and btw i heard all this talk about pulling the cab to swap the motor and everyone told me i had to and just so u know i did it by myself without pulling cab lol

oh I see

so you put the plug in the Passenger Valve cover then and stuck ICP under the turbo on the new moter gotcha

For some reason I had an 05 setup in my mind Diffrent HPOP cover the ICP must be relocated 05+ My BAD

Ya you can pull the front Clip to put the engine in Lots of us go this route being DIYers we dont have Lifts for the Cab

Heads can be done in vehicle as well

Preferance thing
