hate to say it but have you ran through the
Troubleshooting a "low power" condition
Check List

in the tech folder?
Many of the things were mentioned but there are quite a bit more listed there.

Thanks, lupuseven. Hadn't checked there!

I connected a gauge to the front of the fuel filter housing, (the plug with 6mm allen wrench) and just wondering, is that after the filter and regulator, or before. I imagine if I would have looked at all I'd know... The pressure was 58 psi, with a drop to about 55, 56 under load so it's getting fuel there!

Thanks for all your help and advice so far, friends! Appreciate it!

Hello there again.

I had decided to check the high pressure oil system for leaks on my 2003 6.0 and I heard a gut growl way down there somewhere. I kept tearing it further apart, and finally discovered that air is allowed through the high pressure pump. If I'm not mistaken, that shouldn't be allowed. Am I right?

Now, if that is correct I imagine I'll need a new pump. Any recommendations to improve fuel economy?

If you remove the oil feed line from the turbo and while you pressurize the high pressure system with shop air with the IPR powered, and you can hear gurgling air leaking from the hole where the feed line was, then you have a bad high pressure pump.
NO air should be passing through the high pressure pump into the low pressure side.
Hope this is a clear explaination.

Very clear indeed. I'm only a step ahead, as I have removed the oil cooler as well. Bubbling right from the pump intake. Thanks crewdually.

Any advice for replacement? Stock or Performance?

I replaced mine with an updated Ford, but I have an 05. I've seen a few of your style (03-04.5) grenade and it seems alot of guys go with a performance unit then it's done. Maybe some 03-04 guys will chime in.
