What is performance difference in a Bosch / 15
than a I think a t 500 /17
Okay, you know what a revolver is right?
Okay, inside the pump there is a revolver cylinder with pistons in there.
The 15 and the 17 refer to the angle on the swash plate which rotates to stroke the cylinders in the revolver.
15 is less aggressive than a 17.
More angle doesn't always mean better either, such is the case with a few tried pumps running 21 degrees which failed horribly. To much ramp and caused stress in bad places.
The t-500 is a modified pump.
Which means that other things are done to it to make it work more efficiently.
Thanks for the info So if I have a old one with 270,000 miles on stock objectors would it help across the board or on the big end
at the mileage with a 15 its probably running fairly good on the stock injectors.
If you got the money and you want to have some more umpfh, send it to joey and he'll upgrade your 15 to a 17 with the new bearing system. The t-500 will be more efficient and you'll be ready to do something like stage 1's if you want too.
It wont hinder you or help you. The pump wont work as hard with the stock injectors either.
