ok il check the voltage at the heater. is it possible that the two wires going to the heater fan are touching together making it smoke?

if its 2 wires are shorting out, it would hopefully blow a fuse, it could smoke, but it couldn't make the motor squeal like you reported.

so i have 12.3 volts where the heater fan plugs in. is it just a 2 wire system or does it splice into anything else?

i went right from the battery to the heater. still does it. need to replace it?

12.3 with the fan running is pretty good. As for needing to replace, have you cleaned it out inside?

i am right now. where exactly can i lube it?

Right in there. See the shaft? There's a bearing on the end of it that might be dry.

LOL. As I've said repeatedly on here, an iPhone takes good pictures but not of things up close like that. YUK! So, I'll take your word that it is bad, although I can't tell from the pic.
