Ok, my truck is an early 04/03 motor. I replaced the ICP about 1-1.5 months ago. It has been having it's problems since then, that I asked about in another thread, but has always started up fine. Yesterday I went to leave for work. I tried cranking 3-4 times and it wouldn't start, so I cycled the sgII over to look at ICP and it was only reading 255, not enough to start. I crawled under the truck and unplugged the ICP and tried, and it fired right up.
What could have made it go out in such a short amount of time? I bought the sensor new from ford, it's not aftermarket junk. I did not change the pigtail, as it was only a little wet and didn't look wet in the connector. I just cleaned it up and plugged it back in. It has been reading fine the few times I've bothered to check it over the last month. Could the pigtail be the problem, and the sensor is still good? I really don't want to have to buy a new sensor again at the moment, with christmas being right around the corner. Any ideas?

Set the SGII to Fast update rate and make shure you take numbers after it updates
Chances are slim the ICP sensor went out again But never know
IMO you have other HPO Problem and when you unplugged ICP Sensor PCm Used a Default value so FICM would turn on and fire injectors
Oil filter and cap are both motorcraft. I haven't had a chance to work on my truck yet, as I am working 10-12hr days, 6 days a week at the moment. I'm currently driving the truck with the icp unplugged, hopefully this won't cause more problems. I'm hoping to be able to work on it in the next day or 2. I plan on checking the connector again, and trying to get some readings. If it will not start again, I might pull the sensor to see if I can see anything wrong with it. Is there anything else I can check to tell me if I am having hpop issues? What would I be looking at to fix an issue with the hpop? Thanks
