New X Owner
Good morning,
Just bought a 2001 X Limited 4WD V10 with 96K on it. Now, I am thinking, what can I do to it. Need to change the push button unlock code, would like to have the keyless entry added, unless its already there and I don't know it? Looking to upgrade the headlights any ideas for quality headlamp replacements? The thought of boosting up the V10 crosses my mind. The X will be towing a 6000 lb. tag-along camper during the summer. I have read that boosting the V 10 has consequences. Does adding a chip really help anything? If so,what chip is recommended?

1. Do a search for "door code" here. There are tons of threads to help you determine or find your code.
2. You already have keyless entry.
3. Maybe look at upgrading to 03 lights or even the 2005 lights. The latter requires more modifications.
4. Good luck finding a Supercharger for your V10. Used is the only way to get one. If somebody does have a new one prepare to spend over $4K.
5. Check out the V10 forum and look into 5-Star Tuning. He does customer tuning to V10s and has some great prepared tunes that are better than the standard stuff. You'll need to purchase a tuner (chips are so 1990s) from him.
