I believe he had tread separation failures and/or a side wall failure. He also said it took forever for them to take care of it
I'm positive he had two fail as I grilled him on the subject about a year ago.
You might find him lurking in the V10 forum. I think he just moved and is real busy at work. You can try sending him a private message and see if he shows up.
The first issue I had was exactly two years ago this weekend. I was at my Grandmother's funeral and backed into a parking spot next to a concrete slab. I got too close to the slab and the side-lugs of the tire grabbed the concrete. I guess the empty weight of the truck bed was enough to TEAR the sidewall... it was not cut! Luckily, the tire held air. Since it was my fault, I just ordered another one and decided to use the "cut" sidewall tire as the spare.
Second issue was on Christmas Eve (7 months later). Was driving down the highway with me, my wife, and my parents heading to Arkansas. Right front tire blew. Limped into AR on the spare and bought a cheap set of tires 'cause the wife was a little afraid of the TrXus. Took the tire to the dealer and waited 3 months for Interco to finally determine it was a material/manufacturing defect before they replaced it.
Third & final issue was just last Summer. Loaned my truck to a friend to tow a fork-lift from Tulsa to OK City. Half way there, he had a blow-out. I took the truck the very next day and got a good set of 5 BFG ATs installed.
When I sold the F350, I kept the BFGs and put the TrXus tires back on. Felt lucky to make it to the dealership with those POS tires on the truck. I still have the last blow-out tire as I didn't think it worth my time to take it back for Interco to "review" another 3 months.
I sure hope you have better luck with them than I did.
Hate to seem like I'm harping on the subject, but I just noticed that Outpost22 mentioned tread separation. Both of the failures that I had were due to 'broken' steel belts. The tires would get a "knot" in them then blow-out less than 30 seconds later. Tread on both tires remained in place.
I'll try to take some pics & post them later today.
OK, just a couple more things:
When brand new, the tires were amazingly quiet. However, after a few thousand miles, they started getting louder. They also wore very quickly. But that could have been my fault- I had a hard time keeping my foot out of the throttle.

LOL- yeah, but they got an "almost new" Banks Powerpack for compensation. Actually, I talked to the guy who bought the F350 from the GMC dealer. I was down at the parts dept buying filters for the diesel and this guy came up and asked if I was the one who traded in the F350. We talked for a while and I told him all about the truck. Turns out the guy does paint touch-up for the dealership. He bought the F350 before they could even wash it.
As for the tire pics, they'll have to wait. Just got in from doing the Memorial Day thing, mowing the front yard and burning trash. Will try to get some pics posted tomorrow if work isn't too hellish after the long weekend.
