I was very lucky.
Because I knew the relatives houses would be packed, I pull my RV to stay in while there. It wasn't until I got home (90+ miles) that I realized the sidwall was torn. That tire was still holding air when I traded the truck.
For the two blow-outs, the truck responded very well. My friend says he had no problems getting pulled over- even towing the forklift. I had no issues either... except changing the tire in sub-freezing weather.
