So was pulling out of my parking spot at work and turned right yet would not go right. steering wheel just turned. so i put it in park and get out to check. My gearbox broke where it attaches to Pittman arm. 1st question is, are there any good links for a how to replace gear box. 2nd is, Before I realized what was wrong, i am not sure how many times i turned the wheel. is that an issue? can you over turn the wheel? Thanks for the help.
If it broke it should turn forever and not hurt it. Sewart just had a post for group buy of the red head steering boxs. It mit be late but I'd look it up and call. They can all help you with a post to fix it. Look on are search.
I think if the steering wheel turns to far it will break your clock spring,I know some suggested to put your seatbelt through your steering wheel to prevent it from turning while removing gearbox.
