I have 2005 here is list of mods
Arp studs with Oem gaskets
Stc fitting and dummy plugs
Blue spring
Gt3788va turbo with tunning from Matt
Running on hot street tune
Transmission has noticeable delay going into forward or reverse. I have done the relearn for trans from this site no change was wandering if possible a solenoid although did not have this problem before mods. Also mpg are around 15 this is not as good as it was getting with the banks setup but power is defiantly noticeable more so does this sound about right? Tranny is main concern it's kinda annoying thanks for any help.
There are a lot of tuners that will destroy the torqueshift tranny. It's one of the most robust trannys out there but very suseptable to poor tuning. Sounds like you found one of the bad tunes.
How long did you run with the Banks before switch the new tune?
Also is that Matt from Gearhead Automotive Performance ?
Matt is one of the better program tune people out there.
And was it running ok after the change and how long has it been?
The Banks unit was one of the ones that some people say can
eat the transmission.
What you need to do is some diagnostics on the trans to know what the
problem is and how to go about the fix.
The banks stuff was on approx 20/m mostly on level 3. Never had any problems until after all the recent upgrades which were all done at the same time to save money. Once in gear shifts great no slip no problems just has a delay going into gear. I thought clay from riff raff told me tunning was from Matt not sure exactly who he is but I do know clay is pretty sharp and don't think he would use him unless he was pretty good.i have AE and there are no codes fluid is clean and full. I was hopeing it would adjust itself by now 1500 miles. Truck has 42/m now. I forgot to list on first post egr delete also but don't think it's relevant to this. But was the main reason for the sct to get rid of cel. Any thoughts on milage? Anyhow thanks for the reply.
I don't know the transmission stuff well enough to do more than tell you
that you need to do some diagnosis. If Clay is involved you can bet it
a safe tune with a good chance that it's Matt from Gearhead.
The user we need to hear from is Mark Kovalsky he is the MAN!
Knows that transmission inside and out.
Sean
Note : I just sent Mark a PM asking if he could give a look.
The first step is to disconnect the batteries. Rerun the learning procedure after warming up the transmission. If that doesn't fix it then you either have one or more bad solenoids or worn seals in the clutches.
Sorry it took so long to respond was hauling hay all day yesterday. Thanks for the help I will try the disconnect to batteries and relearn procedure. Clay is going to have the programmer take a look at it as we'll. I was wrong about programmer clay said his name is Joshua. Anyhow I am supposed to see clay later today about guages and we are going to take a look at it.
