I'm having troubles with my turn signal. Whenever I turn them on I have to turn the wheel to get it to catch and stay on. How do I get the wheel off to change/fix it? Do I need a wheel puller, or is it like a chevy?
No it's definitely an issue with the switch. The wheel is straight and I've had this problem since I bought the truck and have had it aligned and it did the same thing.
You don't have to remove the steering wheel, only the cover behind it. Separate the two halves of the cover and you will see the screws that hold the switch to the column.
i find mine clicks off when i turn the wheel slightly the opposite way to the way im indicating, for example, when entering a round about if im indicating right when i steer left at the start before i steer right to go round the roundabout it will click off and i have to wait untill i have started turning right to click it back on, im used to it but it is a bit of a PITA. would be nice if it didnt do it. are the screws that hold the switch to the column located in elongated holes making it possible to change position of the switch for a easy fix. if anyone knows it would save me a morning of tinkering..
cheers guys
