Turn signal switch problem

My 1998 F150 ext cab has a turn signal on the right that only works when I hold up on it without completely turning it on. If I turn it on all the way, it acts like a bulb burned out. (flashes real fast) Where is the switch? Is it under the steering wheel, or down on the column somewhere?

It's the multifunction switch; the turn signal lever. Either the contacts are corroded or a wire is loose. You can replace the entire assembly or disassemble the switch and clean the contacts.

I kind of figured it was the switch, and was hoping it was not under the steering wheel. I bet you know where it is, please say it's not under the wheel?
Thanks.

It's under the wheel but you dont have to remove the wheel to get at it. You remove the covers over the steering column and then there are just 2 connectors and 2 screws holding the switch on.
Check out AjRagno's instructions at https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...B%25252Bremove
