Lets see if anyone can figure this one out

So i'm ready to paint the bronco and I wanted to do the original color of what my parents had, which we all thought was blue. the bronco I purchased to restore for them looked pretty damn blue to me and it looked like their old bronco, the paint code revealed however that it was black, paint code 10. so I a managed to find a brochure for the 1988 bronco 1988 Bronco Dealer Brochure - Ford Bronco Zone Early Bronco Classic FullSize Broncos
if you scroll down you can see the pictures. As you can see from the color combinations, the 1988 eddie bauer was not available with chestnut interior and blue paint. This solved my problem, my parents bronco had to be black because blue was not even an option. Then I found this. Ford : Bronco Eddie Bauer in Ford | eBay Motors
A 1988 eddie bauer with blue paint. Guy even took a photo of his door sticker so you can read the code "7N" which was the BLUE!!! What is going on here?

where are you getting the code from? if its from the door sticker i would suspect the door may have been swaped at some point and painted to match the rest of the rig. does the vin on the dash match the door?

It doesn't matter if the door has been switched, all I care about is the tag. It is a 1988 Ford Bronco door tag with color codes for which a 1988 ford bronco brochure says were not available.

Special order paint?... They'll paint 'em any color they've got for the right price.

perhaps the bronco is really a late 87 model or late 88 model which could have been sold as a 89.

I say possible to the TWO prior posts.

Any color is possible if special ordered and the year of the OPs truck may

be in question.

These two issues are what I thought when I first read the thread.

Does it matter what color? To me, No.

If you like blue paint it blue.

BTW, the printed brochure could have been wrong in the first place.

AND Ford made MANY running changes in that era.
