now and then problems

Whats up guys....I have a 1999 f350xlt v10

The truck has about 140, 000 on the clock...and one day it started shifting hard for gear to gear...so I changed the tranny fuild and it started shifting like a new truck...a d then 3 days later we had a lil snow and I hit the breakes and the truck stalled..but started back up and truck drove fine....I read up it might be the torque converter...I never messed with automatic trannys...I dont know how to find out which one I have to look up the torque converter. .any leads would be awesome..thanks

I believe you have the 4r100 tranny I belive that was in 99-04 Fseries V10s.

you do have 4r100. are you getting a check engine light? do you have a good scan tool to check to see if the torque converter is staying locked and to check trouble codes?
