Nice, I had a work truck like that and it would go through anything. I loved that truck and kept it till it was completly wore out. Turned down a couple of new trucks in the meantime.
Dad's truck looks similar. In fact, the bed looks VERY similar as it was hit in the same spot and the muffler peeks out just the same as yours. Welcome to FTE. Where are you located? How 'bout going into the User Control Panel and filling out the info on location.
And, by the way, I love the name. Our 16 month-old grandson shares it with you.
Was going to post earlier, and be the first one to post, but I kept getting an error that wouldn't allow me to log in. Somehow, I feel it was due to my computer and not FTE's servers. I'll be doing some troubleshooting later and find out if I can recreate the error, and will be checking windows logs and my internet settings, etc.
Regardless, welcome to FTE! You'll find all the answers here that you'll ever need, and if you can't find those answers and we can't either, we'll walk you through any trouble you have and be doing learning of our own in the process! Even if it does take an 8-page micro-analysis (you'll get that joke, before long).
My truck is probably in the same shape as yours is. Luckily, parts for these old Fords are very inexpensive, and can be found easily anywhere.
Even though my motor is half worn out, leaks oil, and is a slow stock inline-6, I've fallen in love with my truck and have been doing everything I can to make it into a reliable daily driver. I wouldn't give anything in the world for my truck, and will drive it until either I die or the frame snaps in half. If the latter, it'll be a new frame and I'll keep on going! If the time comes that I can't afford gas for it, I'll park it for a 4-cylinder and keep it until I can afford to put it back on pavement.
yeah this truck is beat up pretty bad but it starts runs and drives when needed. it is an ex air force truck for the first part of its life then us fish and wildlife who beat the crap out of it. it actually only has 65,000 miles on it and have the documentation to prove it. they logged every gallon of gas and anything they fixed on it. oh and gary ian is actually my 9 year old sons name he says its his truck when he can drive.
A diamond in the rough, as they say. Makes me think back to the '83 F-150 I had. Man I loved that truck, no matter how battered it was. I'd drive that thing anywhere without a second thought.
Where are you located? I see snow, but no rust....seems a little odd to me. But then again, I do live in the central rust belt where snow = rust because of all the salt used here.
i am actually just 1 1/2 hours south of you in poynette. i dont think it saw much salt since it was at volk field for most of its life. i have been driving it up to coloma almost every weekend with no issues. picture is from last year.
