I did that and the flashing stopped and stayed off all the way home. (About 10 miles) I had no issues with the transmission or RPM's. Everything seemed normal.
You can check the gear column for exposed cable .
Or take it to the dealer to fix it . I did everything that I could think off but the problem still . So the truck now at ford service center .

Finally I got my truck and running good , flashing gone, smooth shifting, .
The problem was the harnesses from the transmission and the abs sensor harness.
Thank you guys for helping .

I'm glad you got it fixed!

Go anywhere for help and give them info off the web and you instantly loose credibilty. I fix network issues, i still start at the beginning even if you tell me your isp checks out ok..

I told him because he asked me what happened and what do I fix or replaced or checked , Before I went to them . And he checked every thing all wires , connectors , pcm , and so many other things .
The X is fixed and am happy so if it's not fully fixed, I got a 6 months warranty on the job .

If your truck is a 4x4 and the Expedition trans is a 4R100 it will bolt up. The 4R100 from a 5.4L has less plates in some of the clutches so it may not last a long time.
