To all the V/Mob B and higher lifted Excursion and larger tires than OEM, does the factory bottle jack good enought to jack the truck up when there is a flat tire on the highway?
If you are using different size tires on your excursion, do you have the same size spare or you still have the original 265-65-16 spare?
What do I need to get if the bottle jack is inadequate for the job with my V/Mod B Excursion. i saw the big jack for the off roader use, but that's way too big to hide inside
Good question. I've never tried to use my factory jack... I keep a hydraulic bottle jack in the camper and know it will work.
As far as spare tire goes, I have 285/75/16's on my X and use a 255/85/16 for a spare (this is the tire size I run on the dually). It gives me a tire that is similar height, but a bit narrower - so it fits in the spare tire location better. (the stock cover thingy fits it too!)
I also roll with AAA Premium Plus. Not only will they change a tire for me (if I wanted), they'll tow it 200mi for FREE - anywhere I want!!!

Thanks,
I'm about 4 inches lifted with 285's on mine and my bottle jack get's me high enough to put a 12k jack stand under the axle, and tire will clear ground by a good 3 inches.
I haven't test out the factory bottle jack to see if it will do the job yet. Guess I better check it out before the next long trip to southern CA the holiday season.
Also, don't know if I really want to take a long the torque wrench for this. It's 165 ft-lb for the nut...
