The DOVE-C heads have a 75cc combustion chamber and nonadjustable stud mounted rocker arms. The D3VE heads have 95cc chambers and pedestal mounted rockers. You have an engine with different compression ratios for each bank of cylinders. The C8VE heads are 1968 75cc chambers and nonadjustable stud mounted rockers. These heads will raise the compression ratio on later model low compression engines and would benefit from some porting, especially on the exhaust side.As said 460ford.com is a great site for 460 info.

The c8/c9/d0/d1 ve heads are all pretty much the same. Switch out the studs for chebby style adjustable ones, port 'em, use bigger valves and hardened seat inserts, put a nice cam with it, and enjoy the compression! Stock truck engine w/these heads gives about 9.5:1, with a little porting probably good to around 450-500 HP/530-550 TQ. Have fun with those heads, they are a hot commodity!
