I resently made the rookie mistake of pulling the chip out while my truck was running and frying the pcm. I found a used one hooked up works great. It's been about 3 weeks now since I did that and my father jumped in my truck to move it and didn't wait for the wait to start light to go started blowing the #30 fuse. Ever since that happen two days ago I've been blowing like 2 or 3 a day. Could this be because I'm pulling on the steering wheel while getting in, and something touched that wasn't saposed to thanks for the help
Sounds like the fuel bowl heater is shorting out..unplug the fuel bowl heater(white plug on the back of the fuel bowl) and you should be good to go..THEN replace the fuse..
If you want the WIF indicator but don't need the heater then just remove the heater element or disconnect it in the fuel bowl. Then you can plug the connector back in for WIF.
If it blows again, You need to check the 42 pin plug on the driver side valve cover. the wires on the lower side of the wiring harness rub the valve cover and rub through the wires. normally it always seems to be that wire that rubs through first..
