My truck misses really bad when its cold and trying to accelerate. when it warms up the problem is almost completely gone but still misses rarely. There is no smoke of any color when it does this. I originally had low fuel pressure and a badly leaking fuel bowl so i replaced the pump and bowl with brand new ford units fuel pressure is up around 65 now checked ipr duty cycle and icp pressure all seems normal changed the icp out for my spare no difference. The miss is there with or without the programmer. glow plugs just replaced and the relay is working fine. Been chasing this problem for a while trying to avoid injectors any other suggestions the truck has 309,000 kms on it canadian truck. injectors pass buzz and balance test.
I would have guessed ICP, IPR or a sticky injector. You already covered those.
And I've never setup/done a buzz test but im sure running a successful buzz test pretty much confirms the electrical connections on IDM/valvecover harnesses/injector solenoids and all that are good.
Perhaps your HPOP? I know the 15* are stout, but there could be an issue. Im just guessing since you said it gets better once warmed up.
Have you checked the reservoir to be full? People have said something about check valve of some kind that can let the reservoir drain..
Injectors. I bet if you pull the injector solenoids you can't get a .002 feeler gauge under the armature plates on a few injector. A new injector has .004
Did you do do the buzz test on a cold or warm engine ?
