I have a 2000 ranger and have been having a problem with the blinkers. They will work fine in the middle of the day but in the morning they wont turn on. I turn the hazards on and if i keep the hazards on for about 5 minutes the blinkers will then work. I have changed the blinker relay and that didnt help anything. Does anybody have any ideas what the problem is?
Not sure what "blinker relay" is, that you changed out????
Sounds like a heat sensitive electrical contact problem & the Flasher itself, or contacts to it, probably belong on your suspect list & if no joy, the multifuncion switch, as it is a common problem part. Look for loose, or corroded electrical connector pin/socket/ or wire crimp connections to them.
Edit: did this problem come about suddenly after some event????
