need answer to problem with 96 ranger
left hand turn signal will not work. I have replaced multiswitch and blinker relay. right side works perfectly and when I use four ways only right side works and I have checked te bulbs they are good any ideas??

no the front and rear and indicator light on dash does not light I've checked the ground and everything seems to be ok I don't know which relays to check I don't have a manual showing which relays are for the turn signals I have switched some around and it has not made any difference

The wiring diagram is in the link below. I would check for power in/out of the multifunction switch, the connectors have problem too.

Hey North, What is your vehicle? I have the same problem, 96 B2300. The relay is under the dash, sort of above and behind the hood release latch. The first time I had this problem I replaced the relay, all problems solved. NOT, the problem is back. I have ordered the switch repair parts and will let you know if I can get any further.

fixed it 
on mine I found out by trial & error that I had the problem of crossed wires problem showed up after I changed the multiswitch wires were crossed somehow in the plugs I noticed this when I was testing the current out of the switch wires were crossed in the steering coloum harness don't know how this happened as I am not the original owner this truck has 200,000 plus miles on it I think it has been in an accident once and someone has done some work under it THANKS FOR THE HELP EVERYONE !!! FORD TUFF
