EBP sensor
EBP sensor
I am getting a high reading(200's) on my ScanguageII for the EBP. The SGII x-guage forumla has been checked, so thats not the problem that I can tell.
My question is, If the sensor is bad does it give a DTC with the SES light?
Secondly, if I puncutured it when I cleaned it, would it have a low or no reading?

I never got an SES when mine went out. I can't remember what troubleshooting I did but I plotted EBP against something. RPMs maybe? What I saw was a flat reading from the EBP. IIRC it should go up when RPMs go up. I did get a soft code stored for it that went away after replacement.
Mine went out....truck ran like crap for about 20 mins. and died...never to start until the harness was unplugged . No lights. Scanner had issues communicating but finally showed a bad reading. Ran a week with it disconnected until getting a new one....$92 out the door at the local dealer.
Ran without a sensor for over a year in my old truck. Just replaced it last night.
