Hey guys I haven’t been on here in a while school has been keeping me pretty busy lately but I have some questions. I think my F250 is sick…. In the past few months I have noticed my truck has lost a lot of power and the mpg’s are so bad I can barely afford to drive it anymore. I just replaced my injector o-rings because my fuel filter was blacker than sin and they were pretty chewed up when I pulled them. In the past few months I have replaced the injector o rings, UVCH’s, fuel filter, removed all the boots and clamps and cleaned them so I know I have no boost leaks. The exhaust back pressure tube has also been replaced. I do have a minor oil leak in the valley that is going to be addressed very soon but my question is with my truck having 227k on her is it time for injectors? Or could my hpop be weak? It’s been getting pretty chilly here at night and I have notice in the mornings she will white smoke until she is warm (just replaced glowplugs last year), another thing is the truck seems abnormally quiet for a 7.3 sometimes I almost forget its running. I am very meticulous when it comes to maintenance on my truck so I know everything is pretty well kept. Thanks Cody <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

I'd say given the symptoms above you have one or more bad or dead injectors. May want to pull one or both of the covers and verify everything is still connected since you were in there once before doing o-rings. You didn't mention any starting problems warm or cold, so doesn't sound HPOP'ish. Smarter diesel dudes will provide more light I'm sure shortly.

Ill pull the vc's and make sure everything is still connected but this problem started before I did the orings. Standing next to my dads 7.3 it sounds like a different truck. Thanks for the info guys
