I was wondering if any one has ever used the Lucas Oil Additives in an older engine?? Apparantly it helps in cold starts, coating the parts with a thin film??? Thanks for any info. Gord
Personally I don't believe in additives and rely on high quality oil instead. It comes already blended with the proper additive and doesn't need any 'help'.
There have been some good discussions on Lucas and additives in general, here in the past. Read this one first. There are a couple other links to more Lucas threads too. There is also one post that has a link to another oil board where Lucas was bench tested in a gear case with some pretty eye opening results.
Get some more opinions and decide for yourself.
