Good Morining,.

Well, I thoiught i might give you some first hand updates of the the new injectors, and the WHOLLY S**T of my truck factor.

As many of you might remember, I broke the skirt in #2 cylinder. With Big Als help, we ruled out any hope of it being an injector. (those should be coming back to you today Al). Maybe I am lazy and making excueses, maybe I just dont have time, maybe I am just fortunate, but I took the truck to a shop ( Hallas Performance ).

Short of the story, I have a used 2003 7.3 with a 144,000 miles on her, with reman Stage 2 injectors. Because of some timing issues, I did not get all of the info I need when i picked up the truck ( timing issues were I was throwing gear in the truck at the shop to go hunting )

The truck is crazy different, Stock Setting FEELS like the old 80e, I only hit the 140 once, and see no need to do that again for a while, tires are to expensive.

My only issues are I did not experience the MPG gain, and it appears to be slightly louder in the cab.

I will update more latter as I become again comfortable with my truck, but everyone rememeber that PMG recieved after their first ride with a tune...well, I pretty sure it just got wider

Glad you got your issues fixed, and good to hear about your upgrades.

It hasn't been down that long...tomorrow my truck gets it's BTS, it's been down since 9-22.

 

Man.. I feel you pain..

Can not wait to hear the feed back on BTS.. that is such a good feeling knowing your truck has a lifetime warranty on the trans..

 

The "pain" has been in lining up a transport to "no-where" but alas, although costly, I finally got someone to do it. No one who quoted me could get a haul back lined up and they wanted to charge double for the dead head, grrr. And I'm only about an hour and a half away.

 

I wish I was closer I would tow you out to BTS just for the experience, and I could also pick up my chip.

 

I am pretty fortunate around here, when I was in deperate, but not complete need, my Michigan Chapter offered up many ride on a trailer to get there.

Fortuantely for me, I did not need to call them in. Wish I had trailer for you Al, it would have been a pleasure to pick you and your truck up and take it there.

 

I appreciate the kind words, and I would do the same for anyone. What truly got me hooked on this forum when I fully joined not just read, was Jason(SkySkiJason) offering to haul Mike(F250 Superduty) from New Jersey to Lead Hill, AR. That was the kind of brotherhood that we should all have, and we really do. The bad thing is, I've got the trailers, just no one to drive it that I trust. Nevertheless, I'm all set heading out in the morning.

 

That was when Mike made the convestion to Veggie.. I remember that..

2500 miles in (4) days... But we only burned diesel for 100mi, 'cause we ran out of the high-cholesterol fuel!!

You Jason, what ever you do, do not drive that truck through Detroit, they have legalized personal MaryJane, you would have a hell of a following.. all with the munchies..

 

That's why I don't use donut oil. Don't need to look like the Pied Piper with a line of overweight LEO's following me through town...
