i would say a set of ford factory molded splash guards. but they are no longer produced so you either have to find them on ebay, junk yards or a owner that doesn't like them.
i busted one of my paint to match ford molded flap(which pissed me off to no end) i HAD to have some coverage with my muddy driveway so i took some full long fender style single layer flaps. cut them down where i liked the size and installed. waiting to find some more ford flaps when i can.
the ford units.
the single layer ones i put on this spring.

rsplash, u can still get OEM parts & accessories for any Excursion model. As per a Ford parts manager in my area, Fords policy is to have parts available for a vehicle up to 10 years after a particular model was discontinued. 2005 was the last year for the Ex RIP :-(
So, for us blessed Excursion owners; we have up to 2 more years to get Ford OEM parts for our rigs. fordparts.com is a good place to start if you want OEM splash guards

they may still produce the big items to make them whole again. but we are talking about a accessory here not a vital part of the truck. i have been told by a few dealers they no longer make the molded guards for the limited's with fender molding. but there is a small supply of NOS(new old stock) still around the country.
yes the side molding makes a difference VJ. you can use a normal super duty front guard with no side cladding.
i did find the part numbers for the front and rear's though!
YC3Z-16A550-DA pair molded splash guards for back of front wheel (called Eddie Bauer even though there was no Eddie Bauer model in 2000)
YC3Z-16A550-CA pair molded splash guards for back of rear wheel (called Eddie Bauer even though there was no Eddie Bauer model in 2000)
all that said if anyone has them and wants to get rid of them please PM me!!!

I just got some generic flaps off Ebay and screwed them to the body behind the front wheels (backs are stock Ford). Mine stick out a little bit but I will sacrifice a little looks (depends on who is looking) in order to keep the debris off my running boards and they do a very good job, look fine to me, and cost almost nothing.
