The ultimate unobtaium parts find NOS!

I have in my possession probably the last PAIR of nos 1956 ford truck doors! I bought a failed project and these came with it. I'm thinking these are keepers!

Too nice to paint! Might they become wall art? Or simply "revenue producing units", called RPUs? Stu

Man! And I thought my ONE, NOS Express Bed running board was a big deal. Better keep them secure.

I would store them and preserve them, they are very fine pieces. How and the heck do you ever get these cool things

It was a HONEY HOLE of parts! You guys didn't even notice the doors are on a big window cab?

There are NOS running boards, complete bed nos, rear fenders nos and boxes of nos parts

The bed had been cut for a tub job and so I sold the bed sides but kept the front, tail gate, and cross members

Nice score.

Having recently stumbled through some of the Little Dearborn stockroom a couple of times, remarkable NOS finds are there to be discovered. Others are far more experienced than me, but I would contend that there are jewels hidden amid the dross of parts hoards in more places than might be suspected. The challenge for most are to extract this stuff from the current owners - people who are better at gathering and holding than organizing and selling - is getting to a realistic buy price. The hoarders are often more afraid of somehow leaving a nickle on the table than they are interesting in getting $100 into their pockets. Then their heirs, frozen by ignorance and bound by the insistance of the dead, assume vigil over the oxidizing empire. Unless reason or other events intervene, the parts simply wait, unused while the number of potential buyers dwindles.

I'm glad that there are folks like Bigwin to root out stashes. They are on a very worthy mission.

Its to bad somebody ruined them by stenciling all over them , now they are worthless .Ha Ha! Great find indeed. Those that put in the time and effort, are the ones that find nice things like this, I respect the devotion you put into each and every find. Nice going.

thanks, I took my wife and 12 year old son on this road trip. We had a great time. I think it might be time for a tune up on the tow rig as I was only getting 7-8 mpg loaded!
