no idea on the fuel filters it was on the to do list i just bought the truck about a month ago and work in cali its my wifes every other day driver so i just did the oil right when i bought it and drove back to cali for a few weeks it could be the ac pump we used the ac yesterday and it was working fine then this happened
ok i dont know if this means anything but my tans temp gauge is shoving a temp increase its not bottomed out like it usually is until i drive it for a few minutes and also my parking prake light is one but the brake is off.
I have thought about a Trans Sensor issue as we been going threw this
And yes a Bad Trans Range sensor will Cause a No Start
But when the trans range sensor goes bad it wont even let the engine Crank/Starter Engauge at all
But the trans Temp sensor wouldnt cause a No Start that I know of could make the truck go into limp mode but should start
You may have a Bad Trans Temp sensor IDK this SGII will show it they jump temp all over usually as truck comes to temp. You Also wont see alot of temp issues on the OEM Gauges they are too dummied up to see anything but you have the SGII now its going to show alot of stuff once you get back up and running
I can Email the rest of the gauges for SGII
You could have other DTC/Codes but need a Better Scanner to see them a scanner thats Ford Enhanced
do you think the water pump might have seized and wont allow it to start
NO unheard of on a 6.0L
The Huge Diffrence in RPM During crank makes me wonder about the Cam Sensor
you need a DVM to test CMP Sensor further
Did you ever find out where all the Coolant went???? Might be a Good Idea to pull the EGR Valve and Clean it and also look for coolant in the egr valve chamber it would be wet in there if the egr cooler sprung a Leak
i think it might be time for it to get loaded on the flat bed and brought to ford so they can rape me. ill try the fuel filters and mark the pulleys with a paint marker to see if they are spining if not ill try the belts. i only have 2 days to figure this out before its back off to work for another 3 weeks. thanks for your help benny if you come up with any other ideas please message me and ill let you know if i ever figure it out
the coolant went on the ground :-) no it looked like it came from the water pump but nothing leaked during cranking today granted it never got up to temp for the stat to open ill pull the egr tomorrow too ill have to pick up a dvm tho i fried my last one checking the water heater
If the pump seized they usually hold it from spinning fast enough at 150rpm you close but not locked
Pull the EGR Valve and have a Look
You can have Ford do a Diagnostic and see if something you want to tackle
If you do get it going Please Post the Fix thanks
Dont lose hope someone else may come along and spot something there some smart guys here and Even Really Good Ford Techs that come here so hang in there
At least now you can keep an eye on the Oil Cooler and the HPO and charging system and many other things so thats Good
I hate it when I strike out though
I JUST SENT YOU AN EMAIL
it has a bunch more gauges and info in it you can go threw it and check your sensor values to i included that list might find something we missed
