I think rear leafs are missing something...

I think rear leafs are missing something...
Ok so ive seen two other highboys with what looks almost like an overload spring on TOP of the main leaf pack. This single spring when under load will compress against these two block things coming off the frame on each end.
My truck doesnt have these block things or the spring but the holes are there for the block things. Does anyone have a pic of a 74 up highboy with these? Cuz the 2 i saw them on were 73 highboys.

First Camper Special with 4WD: 1977. AFAIK, no High Boy was available w/a Camper Special package.
1973/77 F250 4WD's (High Boys) came with a 6 leaf rear spring pack as standard equipment. 9 leaf rear spring pack was an option.
One auxillary spring was an option for both spring packs.
