I can check into price and shipping if you change your mind. I know a guy with an older 6.9 that's straight piped. Not too loud until he hits higher rpms. It's still got the 2.5 inch pipe. The 4 inch will definitely tone it down some.
im running 3.5 inch straight pipe from the Y-pipe back its not loud. it sounds like it wants to eat someone. sounds very good. the pipe it off of a 97 psd. i just made and adapter to go from 2.5 to 3.5.
That's the same muffler as the guy has for sale. Looking at that price, you would be better off to just get a new one. His price is a little cheaper, but the shipping would make it more expensive.
Sorry, I'm a little slow. The dual kit should work fine. The powerstroke was the only difference in the truck models. Mine is a 94 with a 94-97 exhaust kit. I didn't have to move my spare, but it is a single and took a little tweaking.
sorry haven't been on mine is a 6.9 na and it only gets kinda loud when the windows are down and it gets to high rpm's but other than that it is actually really quiet in the cab to the point to like someone else stated the engine is almost always louder... and you can put a glass pack or cherry bomb in... (which gives it a little bit of cackle) and it keeps it legal
