Electric Issues

Yesterday I was washing my wife's 2004 Navigator and hmmm the airbag compressor came on. Well I finished washing it with no more issues but this morning when my wife tried to use the memory feature on the door pad the side mirrors and the seat went crazy. So I set it all manually for her drive to work. Has anyone experienced this type of electric gremlin? This week is a short work week so I will be opening the hood to try to figure something out

Many people have experienced this after heavy rains or car washes. Most notably the problem is due to the windshield leaking at the lower driver's side which allows water to drip behind the dash and onto both the fuse box and the GEM. It usually dries out within a few days and goes back to normal. The solution to not having it ever happen again is to have the windshield removed and re-sealed properly. There are many post on here, just do a search for windshield leak.
